The weather is getting warmer, and soon the summer heat will be rolling in. This means it’s right about time to stock up on green tea and get ready for days filled with delicious matcha powder drinks! In this post, we’ve gathered some of our favorite refreshing iced matcha recipes, including matcha cocktails, mocktails, and matcha lattes!
What’s The Best Matcha Powder To Use?
Culinary Grade Vs. Ceremonial Matcha.
Ceremonial grade matcha is made from exceptionally high-quality leaves. It is used almost exclusively for traditional Japanese tea ceremonies or the making of koicha.
If purchasing from a trusted vendor, culinary matcha will still be fresh, grassy, vivid green, and sweet. Of course, the quality will be slightly lower than that of ceremonial grade, but still a great option. We recommend using culinary matcha for all of the following recipes since you won’t be drinking it straight. However, suppose you would like to elevate your experience. In that case, you can try using ceremonial grade matcha for a change in certain recipes like the coconut water matcha or the matcha wine.

Our Favorite Matcha Recipes For This Summer
Here we’ve gathered some of our favorite matcha green tea recipes. They are all refreshing, healthy, delicious, and fairly easy to make!
Since matcha powder incorporates the entire tea leaf, it has a slightly higher caffeine content than other types of green tea. Any of these recipes will have about half of the caffeine content of a cup of coffee. If you are sensitive to caffeine, it may be wise to enjoy these green tea drinks in the early afternoon. We do not recommend drinking matcha on an empty stomach or first thing in the morning as it may irritate the stomach walls. Well, without further ado, our favorite iced matcha recipes:
