Cha Hai (Gong Dao Bei)

Cha Hai serves to control the strength of the brew. Using Cha Hai ensures that the tea leaves do not continue to steep as they are sitting in a teapot. It is also called a ‘bowl of impartiality’, for it lets each participant enjoy the same brew.

"Snow & Earth" Handmade Gong Fu Teacups

Made by Janusz Jaworski from Togei Kyoshitsu. With the outside of the cup remaining unglazed, we can feel the texture of the earth, reconnection to it as we sip tea. The inside is glazed with a milky-white glaze reminiscent of the snow. The volume ranges from 30 to 45ml.

Matcha Set

To indulge in proper matcha drinking, we recommend this Japanese matcha set which includes: Chashaku, a bamboo scoop used to measure matcha for serving; Chasen, bamboo whisk to properly mix matcha with water; And Chawan, the bowl in which to prepare matcha and to drink it from.
