The Yunomi tea cup is a classic piece of Japanese teaware. Yunomi are distinct ceramic cups designed for enjoying tea in a cozy and relaxed setting. Unlike the chawan used for matcha tea, yunomi cups have a taller profile and are meant for teas like Sencha, Hojicha, Genmaicha and other Japanese loose-leaf teas. 

The Seigaiha (青海波) – "blue ocean waves" pattern, is a traditional design in Japanese teaware that represents waves, symbolizing tides and the flow of life. 

This Yunomi cup is made from high-quality ceramic, offering durability and a pleasant weight in hand. The slightly rough texture gives it a rustic charm, and its bright color complements the natural beauty of tea.

    Great cup. Cool design . Great textured exterior for stability in hand. Thick but not overly heavy. Great for grandpa stlye anji bai cha or ball oolongs.

    I am so pleased with this cup! I had purchased a set of two and used them for a few weeks, mostly solo, but occasionally with my coffee-addicted husband. I wanted a bit of a larger size for my morning gongfu style. Perfect. So pleased, in fact, that I ordered two more for sharing with friends. Everyone loved the size, feel, and aesthetics.

    As beautiful as pictured. Really nice to hold in the hand with great texture and weight to it. I use these primarily for matcha lattes, the size and aesthetic are perfect for what I want.

    New favorite cup

    This cup looks even better in person! I really enjoy the large size, perfect for fitting the entire brew of tea during a solo session. The cup can get pretty warm, so care must be taken when holding it, but the warmth is an important part of this piece. I’ll be happily sipping out of this for a long time to come.
