Laughing Baby Buddha Tea Pet (Sandstone)

$18.00

This delightful tea pet, depicting a smiling Baby Buddha, is a charming addition to any Gong Fu Cha tea ceremony. Crafted from porous sandstone, this tea pet will appreciate all the teas you feed him and, in return, bring joy and good company to your tea table:)

The Baby Buddha represents joy and contentment in the simple act of tea drinking. His cheerful expression and clasped hands evoke a sense of gratitude. He invites you to slow down, savor each moment, and appreciate the warmth and flavor of your tea.

During the Gong Fu Cha ceremony, this tea pet serves a purpose by being 'fed' with leftover tea. The porous stone absorbs the tea, gradually developing a rich patina that enhances its texture and color over time. This process symbolizes the tea pet's participation in the tea session and reflects the aging process of the tea equipment, reminding us of the beauty in natural change.

Love this little guy!

There’s just the right amount of detail in his cute little face- he makes me smile whenever we sip tea together. A wonderful addition to my tea table!

Makes me smile while enjoying my tea

It never occurred to me that I wanted or needed a tea pet, but the smile on this guys face, whether dry, wet from tea, and especially as I watch the process of it rather quickly drying from head toward the toes. It really does add an element of joy to my tea session. It makes me smile and my heart feels lighter.
