"Fisherman" Incense Holder (Sandstone)

$21.00

Tea is often accompanied by incense burning. A thin line of fragrance in the air can set the right tone (as long as the strong fragrance doesn't demand attention).

This Fisherman incense holder is a good companion to the tea table. The figure sits calmly, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and simple robes, holding an incense stick as if it were a fishing rod. The long beard and the settled posture give the piece humor and personality.

It's fitting to pair a fisherman with tea. Both ask for patience. Both reward stillness. And both make more sense when there’s no rush. This holder works well as part of a Tea Setting (茶席 – Cha Xi), adding a bit of character without turning it into a performance.

And when the fisherman is free of his main job, he wouldn’t mind being a tea pet, at least part-time :)
