NOTE: Gaiwan and other teaware (especially those made of clay) easily absorb taste and aromas and should never be washed using detergents.
I'm glad I chose this for my first gaiwan! I am still a student in terms of gong fu brewing, but I look forward to getting the hang of it with this beautiful piece.
To this day I only used glass teapots for my Chinese green teas. The idea of brewing green tea in a gaiwan never crossed my mind as I usually see oolong brewes that way!
Now I am keeping my better greens for this gaiwan!! Sweetens them and I am enjoying the experience of getting used to holding a gaiwan in my hands.
