"White Crane" Gaiwan

$36.00

This graceful turquoise Gaiwan depicts white cranes — a symbol of longevity and peace in Chinese culture. Throughout imperial times, cranes were depicted on the robes of officials to represent their rank.

When using a small infuser like a Gaiwan, tea is brewed in concentrated quantities. This allows for full extraction of the tea's qualities. Hot water may be added to the same tea leaves repeatedly, even up to 13 times with top-shelf teas. With each infusion, we can mindfully notice the change in taste, color, and aroma. This approach also maximizes the amount of brewed tea from each serving of leaves.

• Capacity: 140ml
• Material: Ceramic, Glazed

NOTE: Each piece's glaze is unique. The actual colors and patterns may significantly differ from the ones in the photos.

NOTE: Teaware easily absorbs taste and aromas and should never be washed using detergents.
