One fine day a monk was making a long pilgrimage from Fujian province to Yunnan to source some of the finest pu-erh. On his way, he stopped in the small town of Hengxian, Guanxi Province, to sip on some of the Silver Needle White Tea he had. A native tea of his hometown in Fujian.

While sipping the tea and enjoying some moments of relaxation before the long trip ahead, he sensed an aroma. The smell was pungent and sweet. He immediately felt peace and tranquility following his tough journey. The scent came from the jasmine flowers, which grew in Hengxian.

The monk scented the remaining tea leaves he had with the local jasmine and treated all the locals to it. From that day on, Jasmine Silver Needle White Tea became a regional favorite.

This tea originates from Guanxi province in China. The area of Hengxian, Guanxi Province, is known for having the purest, most aromatic jasmine in the country.

To make Jasmine Tea, the tea leaves are harvested in the early Spring and then stored until late Summer, when Jasmine flowers start blooming. The flowers are picked in the early morning when the petals are still closed. Once harvested, they are kept cool until nightfall. During the night, jasmine flowers open, releasing the exquisite fragrance, and the scenting takes place.

Pure Silver Needle White Tea goes through an intricate scenting process. Tea buds get scented with the jasmine flowers a total of 5 times, each time replacing the used jasmine buds with new ones. Lastly, only the most potent jasmine flowers get added to the finished tea. To produce 1 kg of Jasmine Silver Needle White Tea, up to 6 kg of fresh jasmine flowers as well as 3.5 kg of high-grade Silver Needle White Tea is used. The entire scenting process takes up to 7 hours of work.

Jasmine Silver Needle White Tea is an exquisite blend of white tea leaves full of soft white fuzz with the scent of delicate jasmine flowers. A smooth, sweet sip of the tea will leave you feeling uplifted and relaxed.

Amazinggg cold-brewed!

Wow! I knew I was a big fan of this tea gong fu style, but cold-brewed was a whole other level! Not to say it was better, but really a whole other level. There were notes that became available to me that otherwise weren't. It really opened up into a beautiful bouquet of aromas and flavors!
I am so amazed because I've tried many teas cold-brewed before, and I can't always say that they are any better, many times even worse. I highly recommend trying it cold-brewed if you want to discover something new. Who knew white tea favored so well from it? Maybe now I'll have to order more white teas and try them cold brewed as well. Especially when the hot months come around.

Absolutely loved it!

I am a big fan of floral aromatic teas so naturally jasmine tea has always been on top of my favorites list and I always have some jasmine green tea stocked.
This was my first time trying jasmine white tea, and I must say it's the most well-balanced jasmine tea I've yet tried.
I did a gong fu cha session:
Pre-brew the tea leaves has a noticeable sweet and sour smell. Very pleasant.
Post-brew the aroma transformed into more of a fruity smell, notably green ume plums.
The taste was immaculate - sweet like wildflower honey with the most gentle jasmine scent. At the end there was a lingering astringency that I really enjoyed. Although it may have just been from my brew, but I loved it.
Overall I really enjoyed the balance of the Silver Needle tea with the jasmine that complimented it perfectly without overpowering (a common characteristic of jasmine). Highly recommend it to all jasmine tea fans out there!

Great smell, nice taste!

Love how good this tea smells!!!
It's interesting to try jasmine WHITE tea, but if I am comparing to my usual favorite jasmine green tea I believe the green tea itself is more balanced with such an aromatic flower. .
