"Green Pear" Handmade Jingdezhen Teapot

This Jingdezhen teapot differs from the blue-and-white designs attributed to Jingdezhen. The teapot has a cute pear-like shape and beautiful earthy glazes with colors mingling in the light. The handmade teapot is sturdy, ideal for both solo tea sessions and Gong Fu tea ceremonies.

Jingdezhen pottery has a rich history. It's a type of ceramic produced in Southern China as early as the 6th century CE. By the 14th century, Jingdezhen became the largest kiln site and porcelain producer in China. It was particularly known for its Imperial kilns, meaning a large amount of the pottery was produced for the Imperial court.

Material: Jingdezhen clay, glazed

Capacity: 150 ml

NOTE: Avoid using detergents when cleaning.

NOTE: This teapot is handmade. Each piece and each glaze is unique and one of a kind. Thus the teapot that you will receive may slightly differ from the one in the photos.
